As far as i am concern with my future jobs, from the above works I enumerated I really want to be an Technology Systems Coordinator because when I was a kid, during our graduation in primary years I'd still can remember that I really want to work in such an institution and to share my knowledge to the other students in short I want to be a teacher.

Unfortunately as the years goes by, I have decided to take a new path, in the sense that, most of my brother and sister take a degree of BEED so when I got into my college life the USeP-Tagum Campus our institution offered a new course which is IT. That is why I grab it even though I had few learnings about computers I did not think what would be its risks.

Now, here I am an info. tech. . . but even I have taken this course there was a part on my mind that I really want to be a teacher as well. . . I want to use my learnings to my fellows because this is the only skill that I have and I can be proud of. . . I will take any obstacles that will come into my life as a student.

I had already enjoyed of what I am doing now, I think everything that I'm doing the technology has been connected.

Razz

This is my selected jobs that I want when I'm blessed to graduate in this course. I’ve met a lot of obstacles and I know it’s just a part of being a successful one someday. I know God is always there.

1. IT Consultant

An IT consultant works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Consultants work to improve the structure and efficiency and of an organization’s IT systems.
IT consultants may be involved in a variety of activities, including marketing, project management, client relationship management and systems development.
They may also be responsible for user training and feedback. In many companies, these tasks will be carried out by an IT project team. IT consultants are increasingly involved in sales and business development, as well as technical duties.

Typical work activities
Tasks typically involve:

• meeting with clients to determine requirements;
• working with clients to define the scope of a project;
• planning timescales and the resources needed;
• clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business;
• traveling to customer sites;
• liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization;
• defining software, hardware and network requirements;
• analyzing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT;
• developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems;
• presenting solutions in written or oral reports;
• helping clients with change-management activities;
• project managing the design and implementation of preferred solutions;
• purchasing systems where appropriate;
• designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems;
• preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers;
• organizing training for users and other consultants;
• being involved in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organizations;
• Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.

2. Information Systems Manager

Though the exact daily duties may differ from employer to employer, information systems managers determine the overall technology strategies for major companies. By combining information technology training with business savvy, these managers make decisions about servers, bandwidth, and desktop tools for their companies.
Although many enterprise companies prefer to hire managers with advanced technology degrees, a shortage of qualified executives has opened the doors for job candidates with hands-on experience. Therefore, your current job and an enrollment in an online IT program can put you in the running for a senior position that usually pays, on average, over $92,000 per year

3. Database Administrator

Database administrators guarantee the security and the accessibility of information for employees and customers. Hiring officers often comment that computer training programs cannot produce skilled administrators quickly enough to meet their demands.
While many online information technology programs build basic database skills, administrators require ongoing technical training to stay up to date with the latest products. A bachelor's degree and an independent certification can qualify you for jobs at well-known companies where you can earn $85,000 or more per year.

4. Operating System Developer

While you might think that only a few major companies in America would employ operating system developers, "operating systems" have actually popped up in more devices than just computers. Manufacturers of mobile phones, cars, refrigerators, and other devices rely on highly skilled graduates of technology degree programs to develop custom software platforms.
Online technology courses in programming and software development can help you secure a job in this growing field. Many operating system developers earn over $80,000 a year by complementing their understanding of source code with their intuition into human interaction. The next time you drop a quarter into a fancy soda machine; remember that machines as simple as this need operating systems, too.
Many application developers working for larger companies earn over $70,000 per year. In some cases, compensation packages for developers can include tuition reimbursement programs for online technology courses. Other developers earn smaller salaries but own all or part of the companies at which they work, offering the chance to participate in technology startups.

5. Senior IT Auditor

Establish procedures for audit review of computer systems; develop and apply testing and evaluation plans for IT systems and ensure compliance with industry standards of efficiency, accuracy and security.

Computer Cracker

A cracker is someone who breaks into someone else's computer system, often on a network; bypasses passwords or licenses in computer programs; or in other ways intentionally breaches computer security. A cracker can be doing this for profit, maliciously, for some altruistic purpose or cause, or because the challenge is there. Some breaking-and-entering has been done ostensibly to point out weaknesses in a site's security system.

The term "cracker" is not to be confused with "hacker". Hackers generally deplore cracking. However, as Eric Raymond, compiler of The New Hacker's Dictionary notes, some journalists ascribe break-ins to "hackers."

A classic story of the tracking down of a cracker on the Internet who was breaking into U.S. military and other computers is told in Clifford Stoll's The Cuckoo's Egg.

http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid14_gci211852,00.html

......Among the five jobs, my greatest fantasy in life is to be a "Computer Cracker" someday. This illegal or inappropriate profession for me sounds interesting and needs an unique critical thinking in social life, which is I propose to learn to. It may be so weird to imagine but it's not possible to happen. The fact that, technology is rapidly rising into
its limit, therefore we should at least try to compete with it. By the way, my second option would be to be an "ASSASSIN".

Tnx SiR!

4. Graphic Designer / Graphic Artist

Graphic designers—or graphic artists—plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communications problems. They find the most effective way to get messages across in print, electronic, and film media using a variety of methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques. Graphic designers develop the overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications. They also produce promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for products and services, design distinctive logos for products and businesses, and develop signs and signage systems—called environmental graphics—for business and government. An increasing number of graphic designers also develop material for Internet Web pages, interactive media, and multimedia projects. Graphic designers also may produce the credits that appear before and after television programs and movies.

The first step in developing a new design is to determine the needs of the client, the message the design should portray, and its appeal to customers or users. Graphic designers consider cognitive, cultural, physical, and social factors in planning and executing designs for the target audience. Designers gather relevant information by meeting with clients, creative or art directors, and by performing their own research. Identifying the needs of consumers is becoming increasingly important for graphic designers as they continue to develop corporate communication strategies in addition to creating designs and layouts.

Graphic designers prepare sketches or layouts—by hand or with the aid of a computer—to illustrate their vision for the design. They select colors, sound, artwork, photography, animation, style of type, and other visual elements for the design. Designers also select the size and arrangement of the different elements on the page or screen. They may create graphs and charts from data for use in publications, and they often consult with copywriters on any text that accompanies the design. Designers then present the completed design to their clients or art or creative director for approval. In printing and publishing firms, graphic designers also may assist the printers by selecting the type of paper and ink for the publication and reviewing the mock-up design for errors before final publication.

Graphic designers use specialized computer software packages to help them create layouts and design elements and to program animated graphics.

Graphic designers sometimes supervise assistants who follow instructions to complete parts of the design process. Designers who run their own businesses also may devote a considerable time to developing new business contacts, choosing equipment, and performing administrative tasks, such as reviewing catalogues and ordering samples. The need for up-to-date computer and communications equipment is an ongoing consideration for graphic designers.

Work environment. Working conditions and places of employment vary. Graphic designers employed by large advertising, publishing, or design firms generally work regular hours in well-lighted and comfortable settings. Designers in smaller design consulting firms and those who freelance generally work on a contract, or job, basis. They frequently adjust their workday to suit their clients’ schedules and deadlines. Consultants and self-employed designers tend to work longer hours and in smaller, more congested, environments.

Designers may work in their own offices or studios or in clients’ offices. Designers who are paid by the assignment are under pressure to please existing clients and to find new ones to maintain a steady income. All designers sometimes face frustration when their designs are rejected or when their work is not as creative as they wish. Graphic designers may work evenings or weekends to meet production schedules, especially in the printing and publishing industries where deadlines are shorter and more frequent.

I like best the "Programmer-Analyst"

wew... Very Happy as i mention in previous assignment.... it's sounds interesting sunny may have a lot of knowledge and adventures Wink .... will even though it is so difficult to achieve but nothing great things possible "BASTA GUSTOHIN MO, KAKAYANIN MO" Very Happy

always put "High Touch[jesus]" in our heart and work for him and everything ganna be alright... maybe we will incounter failures & strungles but it's just part of our life. to strengthening our determination to fullfill our dreams...

my second choice Very Happy ..... joke
just to know what hacker is....
and mostly hacker now dominate our generation

Hacker- There is a community, a shared culture, of expert programmers and networking wizards that traces its history back through decades to the first time-sharing minicomputers and the earliest ARPAnet experiments. The members of this culture originated the term ‘hacker’. Hackers built the Internet. Hackers made the Unix operating system what it is today. Hackers run Usenet. Hackers make the World Wide Web work. If you are part of this culture, if you have contributed to it and other people in it know who you are and call you a hacker, you're a hacker.

The Hacker Attitude

1. The world is full of fascinating problems waiting to be solved.
2. No problem should ever have to be solved twice.
3. Boredom and drudgery are evil.
4. Freedom is good.
5. Attitude is no substitute for competence.

Hackers solve problems and build things, and they believe in freedom and voluntary mutual help. To be accepted as a hacker, you have to behave as though you have this kind of attitude yourself. And to behave as though you have the attitude, you have to really believe the attitude.

But if you think of cultivating hacker attitudes as just a way to gain acceptance in the culture, you'll miss the point. Becoming the kind of person who believes these things is important for you — for helping you learn and keeping you motivated. As with all creative arts, the most effective way to become a master is to imitate the mind-set of masters — not just intellectually but emotionally as well.

Or, as the following modern Zen poem has it:

To follow the path:
look to the master,
follow the master,
walk with the master,
see through the master,
become the master.

So, if you want to be a hacker, repeat the following things until you believe them:

Basic Hacking Skills:

1. Learn how to program.
2. Get one of the open-source Unixes and learn to use and run it.
3. Learn how to use the World Wide Web and write HTML.
4. If you don't have functional English, learn it.
The hacker attitude is vital, but skills are even more vital. Attitude is no substitute for competence, and there's a certain basic toolkit of skills which you have to have before any hacker will dream of calling you one.

Online Job Services... Ü

This is for our third assignment in HRM. For this assignment, we were tasked to look for five (5) different online job services and after which we need to write a brief evaluation of the services and choose one that we liked best. If I'm not mistaken on-line job services are those job services offered online or should I say through the internet. These are services that can be done even at home where you only have to connect through the web. That is my own perspective of an online job service. As I look for different online jobs I noticed some online service like surveys that says they pay you if you take their survey are said to be scams. Well, probably there are really online scams just freely dwelling on the web. Hehe.

I surf the web for different online job services and I was able to find the following:

♥️Online tutors
Online tutors work for internet based companies that offer help, within a variety of subject areas, to students of all ages. Many online tutor positions offer flexible hours. Most companies require a college education, teaching experience, and/or knowledge in the subject area they will be tutoring.Smart Thinking This site hires on a regular basis for a variety of different subject areas. Once hired and after completing the E-structor®️ Certification, which is an "online specific training program", tutors work a minimum of 9 hours per week on a fixed weekly schedule.

♥️ Assignment Maker Online
The Assignments With The Assignment just a click away, there is no need to struggle with writing an assignment anymore! Do you have to spend fruitless hours every day, dig into textbooks to research and look for proper references in getting your assignment done? All this is going nowhere and your deadline is looming large? Maybe there is too much information that you can’t figure out what to include or perhaps the information is not at all adequate? If all this sounds like you, The Assignment is here to help you in improving your grades and help you achieve academic success. Over the years, we have helped thousands of students of all academic levels to meet the stipulation of academic writing standards in the UK.
http://www.theassignments.co.uk/

♥️Data Entry Job
No special experience is needed to be a part of this unique and highly successful program. So as long as you have internet, a keybaord and the ability to spend at least 1/2 hour a day, you can make thousands of dollars by simply using your fingers and mouse to complete simple data entry tasks. You are in complete control there are no deadlines.

♥️Online Magazine Writer
Magazines are consumer friendly and offer many opportunities for freelancers and advertising professionals to find a telecommuting career. There are many home-based jobs such as freelance writing, photography, editing, graphic designers, advertising sales and promotion available. Many magazines have also gone online in the form of digital magazines so there are additional opportunities for online content managers, journalists, web designers, and community managers to work as well. Be sure to check out the many online roles in the Magazine world here at Flexjobs. http://www.flexjobs.com/jobs/online-magazine

♥️Online Graphic Designers
Graphic Designers produce visual solutions to the communications needs of their clients through a variety of creative skills and commercial awareness. Graphic Designers are creative people who have a flair for what is appealing to consumers, are aware of upcoming trends and can convert their ideas into visually pleasing images. There are many avenues for Graphic designers to work virtually in marketing, technology and commercial industries. Other job titles for Graphic Designers are Commercial Artist, Illustrator, Designer, Conceptual Professional, Art Director, Layout Manager, and Creative Director. There are many excellent contract, freelance, independent, part time and full time opportunities below.
http://www.flexjobs.com/jobs/graphic-design

Among the five online jobs I have mentioned above, the one I liked best is the online graphic designer. As I've mentioned on my other post for my second assignment I love things in line with arts and designing that is why I chose the graphic designer. I guess it is fun being one because you get design and layout something that would be of help of the client or the one you are serving. Aside from you get to hel your client also you feel comfortable because your work could just be done at home or wherever your comfort is. How I wish this would be my future job. Ü LOL

PostSubject: Hopefully My Future Jobs:   Sun Jul 05, 2009 4:02 am

At first i never expect that i would take this course which is "Information Technology" but as time goes by i realize that this course is my interest although it would be very hard for me to adjust and hopefully if I had given a chance to graduate as An Information Technologist I would rather apply this kind of online jobs:..

1. Database Administrator
A database administrator (DBA) is a person who is responsible for the environmental aspects of a database. The role of a database administrator has changed according to the technology of database management systems (DBMSs) as well as the needs of the owners of the databases. For example, although logical and physical database design are traditionally the duties of a database analyst or database designer, a DBA may be tasked to perform those duties.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Participate in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of database systems and projects;
• Support security functions and solutions; and
• Monitor and report on network and system performance metrics.
• Duties involve coordination/interface with government personnel, subcontractors, and consultants.
The duties of a database administrator vary and depend on the job description, corporate and Information Technology (IT) policies and the technical features and capabilities of the DBMS being administered. They nearly always include disaster recovery (backups and testing of backups), performance analysis and tuning, data dictionary maintenance, and some database design.
Some of the roles of the DBA may include:
• Installation of new software — It is primarily the job of the DBA to install new versions of DBMS software, application software, and other software related to DBMS administration. It is important that the DBA or other IS staff members test this new software before it is moved into a production environment.
• Configuration of hardware and software with the system administrator — In many cases the system software can only be accessed by the system administrator. In this case, the DBA must work closely with the system administrator to perform software installations, and to configure hardware and software so that it functions optimally with the DBMS.
• Security administration — One of the main duties of the DBA is to monitor and administer DBMS security. This involves adding and removing users, administering quotas, auditing, and checking for security problems.
• Data analysis — The DBA will frequently be called on to analyze the data stored in the database and to make recommendations relating to performance and efficiency of that data storage. This might relate to the more effective use of indexes, enabling "Parallel Query" execution, or other DBMS specific features.
• Database design (preliminary) — The DBA is often involved at the preliminary database-design stages. Through the involvement of the DBA, many problems that might occur can be eliminated. The DBA knows the DBMS and system, can point out potential problems, and can help the development team with special performance considerations.
• Data modeling and optimization — By modeling the data, it is possible to optimize the system layouts to take the most advantage of the I/O subsystem.
• Responsible for the administration of existing enterprise databases and the analysis, design, and creation of new databases.
o Data modeling, database optimization, understanding and implementation of schemas, and the ability to interpret and write complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries
o Proactively monitor systems for optimum performance and capacity constraints
o Establish standards and best practices for SQL
o Interact with and coach developers in SQL scripting
2.IT Consultant
An IT consultant works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Consultants work to improve the structure and efficiency and of an organization's IT systems.
Task typically involve:
* meeting with clients to determine requirements;

* preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers;
* organising training for users and other consultants;
* being involved in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organisations;
* identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.
3.Software Developer
-Write, modify, and debug software for client applications. Use source debuggers and visual development environments. Write code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone and those which access servers or services. Test and document software for client applications.

4.System Analyst
-Responsible for the operating system and associated subsystems. Provide system-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems. Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.

Among the five online jobs the best job for me that i want in the future is that being an IT consultant because i like being advicer to other people especially when there is a problem in a company, as a consultant it tends to help to overcome the problem right?and as far as i know a consultant would come into a company to perform a particular job which the company could not, or would not, want to do with its own people and be able to identify those contracts which will be in your best interest. I hope i could be able to do what i want in the future.

* Web Searchers

To do this work, Web Searchers first have to qualify by passing the online tests. Qualified searchers then have access to workrooms where they can join a small virtual team of other qualified searchers to look for relevant information on a particular question. When you find relevant information on the Web you submit details of the reference via online team room for a reviewer to decide whether or not to accept it. you will be paid per accepted reference, paying more for highly relevant material. http://www.clicknwork.com/opportunities/web/

* Online Juror

You are to review cases from Attorneys, who submitted their case information and questions for the jury on the OnlineVerdict.com website. Then, you’ll be alerted through an e-mail then all you have to do is respond immediately because there are only limited numbers of jurors. You’ll be asked to answer all the questions honestly. After you complete a case you will be paid for your time. Payments start at $20 per case and can go up to $60. Checks are mailed once a month to the address you have on file in your OnlineVerdict.com account. * Medical Transcriptionist

This job needs good English skills and a good sense of hearing. This job involves listening to the dictates of healthcare or medical professionals then, transforming it as written documents. It is not that simple because you have to understand each words and also, check the grammar thus, decoding it the right way. =====================================================================================================

Among those five mentioned jobs services , my desire soaks into WEB DESIGNER. As I mentioned in my previous assignment. I prefer that job because I trust my skills in designing. Honestly my visioned job when I was still in high school is to be a fashion designer haha. But since my parents can't afford that course to be taken outside the country(ambisyosa kase) , they decided to let me take an it course. And so I did. Despite of that discouragement, my will in designing never fades. With these course I know I still can enhance and hone my artistic skills. Being a web designer is I think a job with real enthusiasm. And since nowadays Technology is expanding at an increasingly high speed due to the thriving expansion of the Internet. The number of Web sites in use increases every demand of Web site developers and designers. Whew! I know it's tough to be that competitive. I know through this course, I can engage to things with web developing and designing and little by little I'll help myself and my parents for some financial issues(i know it's kinda outta topic ). Hmmm.

If I can't pursue on that job, well, I think I will practice myself in hacking haha!!! kase nga I think it's cool because you will be able t threat someone or greater than that if your a COMPUTER WIZARD!! whew!

Think like a criminal . Not act like a criminal. Wahaha.

Medical Transcriptionists

Medical transcriptionists listen to dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals and transcribe them into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material. They generally listen to recordings on a headset, using a foot pedal to pause the recording when necessary, and key the text into a personal computer or word processor, editing as necessary for grammar and clarity. The documents they produce include discharge summaries, medical history and physical examination reports, operative reports, consultation reports, autopsy reports, diagnostic imaging studies, progress notes, and referral letters. Medical transcriptionists return transcribed documents to the physicians or other health care professionals who dictated them for review and signature or correction. These documents eventually become part of patients’ permanent files.
To understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports, medical transcriptionists must understand medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments.

Among that five(5) online job services, what I like best is the Online Tutorial...haha... But it is not my final job I want to have in the future. I like it because you can share a basic knowledge to the other people by using the internet. Even though the teacher and the student are separated in this online tutoring, because of the technology you feel like face-to-face sharing.

PostSubject: Online Job Services...   Mon Jul 06, 2009 7:27 pm

To start, let us first evaluate what online service means.

ONLINE SERVICE(definition)...

A business that provides its subscribers with a wide variety of datatelecommunications lines. Online services provide an infrastructure in which subscribers can communicate with one another, either by exchanging e-mail messages or by participating in online conferences (forums). In addition, the service can connect users with an almost unlimited number of third-party information providers. Subscribers can get up-to-date stock quotes, news stories hot off the wire, articles from many magazines and journals, in fact, almost any information that has been put in electronic form. Of course, accessing all this data carries a price.

ONLINE JOB SERVICES...

1. Medical Transcription Services

The medical transcription field may well be the greatest beneficiary of outsourced transcription services. It is the service most oftenprovided by transcription service providers across the world.

Medical transcriptionists listen to dictation recordings by doctors and healthcare practitioners, and convert them into medical reports, medical correspondence, discharge papers, autopsy reports, etc. A medical transcriptionist, unlike a general transcriptionist, must understand medical terminology and be able to decipher medical abbreviations. There are as many medical transcription services as there are medical specialties and medical documents: radiology transcription, microbiology transcription, pathology transcription, cardiology transcription, medical review transcription, H&P reports transcription, surgery notes transcription, lab reports transcription, etc.

Of the five identified ONLINE JOB SERVICES, what I like most is the first one - MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES. Aside from the reality that this job can be done at home (home based, as wished) it offers you a good income. Though there is no formal education on Medical Transcription anyone with non IT related courses can still apply, but still big companies prefer IT graduates, that's one thing i took into account. Besides, the flexible hours that this home based job provides allows you to attend family issues as they arise. You don't have to ask permission every time you leave for I'll be the boss. Furthermore, this job requires proficiency should be acquainted with medical terms. If that is so, I am willing to undergo series of trainings if and when I can't pursue with my "most desired job", as an IT Manager, I'll be happy also with this job. One thing that makes it interesting to me is that, the nature of the job which is direct interaction with clients.

PostSubject: Re: Assignment 3 (Due: before july 16, 2009, 13:00hrs)   Mon Jul 06, 2009 8:58 pm

When I have searched online job services on the internet, I was a bit confused of what I would choose for my Assignment 3. It was because the online job services I’ve searched are all difficult for me to achieve yet. But still, I have no choice but to choose the common ones for me so that I can relate to whatever online jobs I would choose. And these are the 5 online job services I have chosen:

1. Web Developer

A web developer is responsible for programming the functionality of a web site. So while a requirements analyst is tasked with determining what a web site should do, the web developer figures out how it is going to do it and then writes the necessary programming code. Much of this programming code is behind the scenes and not visible to the user.
However, a web developer may also be responsible for the code that the user sees. This is the HTML/DHTML and Javascript that make up most of the web pages you interact with in your web browser.

2. Database Designer

Working with a system architect and a requirements analyst, the database designer ensures that all necessary data has a place to be stored. At the same time, the speed at which the data can be stored and retrieved are taken in to account so that user's are not left waiting for unreasonable amounts of time.
Sometimes database designers take on database related activities such as arranging for backups, creating ad-hoc reports, and server tuning. However, these other tasks are often part of a Database Administrator's (DBA) job.

3. Web Designer

A web designer is similar to a graphic designer. In fact, many graphic designers are web designers and vice versa. Sometimes the term web designer is used to describe a web developer, but really a web designer focuses on the user interface. They are responsible for layout, color palettes, and sometimes usability. Web designers often develop some programming skills to enable them to include certain features in the interface such as roll-overs or dynamic menus.

4. Graphic Designer

Web-based applications have brought graphic designers closer to software development projects than ever before. Because the buttons, menus, and other screen elements of a web page are not standardized, there is enormous opportunity for a graphic designer to influence how a site will look. This is often tied in to the branding efforts of a web site. As such, the graphic designer is tasked with deciding how best to portray the values of a company through the use of color and layout.

5. System administrator

A system administrator, systems administrator, or sysadmin, is a person employed to maintain and operate a computer system and/or network. System administrators may be members of an information technology department.
The duties of a system administrator are wide-ranging, and vary widely from one organization to another. Sysadmins are usually charged with installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.

If I would be given the chance to choose one of the best from the 5 online job services stated above, I would prefer to choose number 3 which is a Database Designer because it is somehow related to the job that I dream to have in the future which is a Database Designer. Though I’m not quite creative on arts, I still want to because I have to. There is still time to become creative and I know that I can make it.

Using the internet, I was able to examine five different online job services. There are so many online job services offered in this high technology generation. To enumerate five of these, they are Internet hosting service, remote, online, or managed backup service, eCommerce Wireframing and Design, Web Analytics Consulting and Ecommerce Web Hosting

BRIEF EVALUATION:

An Internet hosting service is a service that runs Internet servers, allowing organizations and individuals to serve content to the Internet. There are various levels of service and various kinds of services offered.

A common kind of hosting is web hosting. Most hosting providers offer a combined variety of services. Web hosting services also offer e-mail hosting service, for example. DNS hosting service is usually bundled with domain name registration.

remote, online, or managed backup service is a service that provides users with an online system for backing up and storing computer files. Managed backup providers are companies that provide this type of service.

eCommerce Wireframing and Design.Creating an online experience that is simple, intuitive, and persuasive is the secret behind top converting ecommerce businesses. The foundation of these websites is the information architecture and site wireframes - the blueprints that define how users shop on the site.Information Architecture defines webpage progressions, user options, and the steps that comprise key website goals. It is vital that the architecture conform to content and categories, and clearly represent business needs for your IT team.

Ecommerce Web Hosting allows the company to monitor your search engine success with the full graphical statistics ,Create a search engine friendly page with links to all your products using the shopping cart's sitemap feature, Make one time buyers into repeat customers using the built in newsletter function and to access Easy to use shopping cart: Connect our shopping cart to your existing web site.

Web Analytics Consulting .Any Company that is serious about establishing a profitable eCommerce business must pay great attention to their site statistics. Your analytics contain a wealth of information that unlocks the secrets of your customer behavior and site efficiency.

Adapting your business to the clues for which the data provides is crucial in growing sales and boosting conversion. Ironically however, most online businesses neglect this aspect - as resources to gather, analyze, and understand web analytics are not viewed as a priority.

Among the above mentioned online services, I think Internet Hosting is the best. It is because these services allow different organization of individuals to save content to the Internet. These services include web Hosting. Web hosting also offers email hosting services.

Web hosting allows individuals and organizations to provide their own websites accessible via the World Wide Web. Having their own website is the companies’ big advantage in many factors especially in business transactions and company competitions.

In this high technology era, it is important that the company also change in their approach. Also, the company would be able to advertise not only on Televisions, Radios but also through the Internet. Customers and other users can get information about the company by just a click, without spending so much time and managing traffics. Remember that managing time and pressures are of great significance in one’s life. So, the Internet might help it.

PostSubject: 5 Online Jobs   Wed Jul 08, 2009 6:35 am

Online jobs are becoming increasingly popular nowadays as more and more people want to make a full time living working at home. Many stay at home and most people love to work from home jobs as they can still manage ease while making some money off the Internet. I’m sure you have all heard the success stories of people who have struck it rich on the net and are now making hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. However, most people who decide to try and make money from the web will fail. Others are, unfortunately, scammed out of their money as they pay for useless products which never make them a cent.

Here is my list of top online jobs where you can actually make money it is important to remember that it takes lots of hard work and dedication to make money on the Internet.

1. Online Web designing is creating presentations of content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, by way of a Web browser or other Web-enabled software like Internet television clients, microblogging clients and RSS readers.

Here are the five different on-line job services and its brief evaluation of the services.

1.) IT Trainers
IT trainers generally design and deliver training courses in information and communications technology (ICT) including desktop applications and company-specific software. They may also provide training in more technical areas for software engineers, technicians, website designers and programmers. IT trainers work in colleges, training companies and within the training departments of large companies and public sector organizations. Many IT trainers are self-employed, and this is a growing trend. Training generally falls into two categories: desktop software applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, internet and email, presentations and desktop publishing); and technical areas such as programming, web design, networking and PC maintenance.The IT trainer also keeping up to date with relevant systems, software and online training technology;

2.) IT technical support officer

IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. They install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face. Organizations rely on accessing information via computers. Problems may arise through systems failure, operator error or user misunderstanding. Businesses cannot afford to be without the whole system, or individual workstations, for more than the minimum time taken to repair or replace them.
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/p/types_of_job/it_technical_support_officer_job_description.jsp

3.) Systems developer
Systems developers work on the internal operations of computers. They work within organizations to solve computer problems using existing systems or incorporating new technologies to meet particular needs. They test both hard and software systems, and diagnose and fix faults.The role also covers writing diagnostic programs and designing and writing code for operating systems and software to ensure that they function more efficiently. When required, they make recommendations for future developments to software or operating systems.
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/p/types_of_job/systems_developer_job_description.jsp

4.) IT sales professional
An IT sales professional's work falls into the three main areas of pre-sales, sales, and post-sales support of hardware and software:

• the first area involves supporting pre-sales activities by giving detailed information about technical specifications and the ways in which they could meet a customer's needs, often demonstrating those features before a sale;
• the actual sale involves negotiating a commercial agreement to the benefit of both customer and supplier;
• technical support, which follows the sale, may include solving faults and problems, or maximising the use of software features, as well as advising on appropriate user training.

The role requires significant interaction with clients which may be face-to-face or over the telephone.
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/p/types_of_job/it_sales_professional_job_description.jsp

5.) IT consultant
An IT consultant works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Consultants work to improve the structure and efficiency and of an organization’s IT systems.IT consultants may be involved in a variety of activities, including marketing, project management, client relationship management and systems development.They may also be responsible for user training and feedback. In many companies, these tasks will be carried out by an IT project team. IT consultants are increasingly involved in sales and business development, as well as technical duties.
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/p/types_of_job/it_consultant_job_description.jsp

The different on-line job service I like best is an IT Consultant because your immediate prospects depend on the size and type of the organization you work for. Movement between employers is common. Larger consultancies have an established career structure for their staff, with frequent appraisals and an emphasis on individuals managing their own career. A typical consultant moves from the daily responsibility of a project to a more strategic role with team leadership and responsibility.

Using the internet, examine five(5) different on-line job services and write a brief evaluation of the services and which do you like best and why.

Razz Different Online Job Services Laughing

1. Information Technology manager

Information technology (IT) managers plan, administer and review the acquisition, development, maintenance and use of computer and telecommunications systems within organisations. The IT manager is often the most senior person in the IT department and in large organisations may be called the IT Director or Chief Information Officer.

Duties and Tasks

IT managers may perform the following tasks:
• work out current and future IT needs by consulting with people at all levels about the current work systems and deciding how improvements could be made
• analyse the information needs of an organisation and develop technological solutions to satisfy those needs
• prepare or direct IT policy and plan strategy development
• direct activities to select and install major IT facilities
• oversee the provision of training for users and clients
• direct the integration of IT operations, computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications and data processing
• work out priorities for systems developments, maintenance and operations
• control the security aspects of IT systems
• provide advice to other senior managers and boards on IT issues and planning.

http://www.myfuture.edu.au/services/default.asp?FunctionID=5050&ASCO=122411A

2. Database Administrator

A database administrator (DBA) is a person who is responsible for the environmental aspects of a database. The role of a database administrator has changed according to the technology of database management systems (DBMSs) as well as the needs of the owners of the databases. For example, although logical and physical database design is traditionally the duties of a database analyst or database designer, a DBA may be tasked to perform those duties.

Duties

The duties of a database administrator vary and depend on the job description, corporate and Information Technology (IT) policies and the technical features and capabilities of the DBMS being administered. They nearly always include disaster recovery (backups and testing of backups), performance analysis and tuning, data dictionary maintenance, and some database design.
Some of the roles of the DBA may include

3. Web Designer

Web designers are responsible for creating the look and feel of World Wide Web pages for a client's Web site. This involves developing a graphic design that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the Web site. A web designer may take part in the initial planning of a Web site, meeting with the client to discuss ideas for the layout and organization of the site, the types of colors or images to use (photos, illustrations, videos, etc.), and other matters concerning overall graphic design. Sometimes a web producer has already developed a basic concept for the web page. In this case it is the web designer's task to create a design that matches the producer's ideas.

1. SYSTEM ANALYST
A systems analyst is responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and recommending software and system choices to meet an organization's business requirements. The systems analyst plays a vital role in the systems development process. A successful systems analyst must acquire four skills: analytical, technical, managerial, and interpersonal. Analytical skills enable systems analysts to understand the organization and its functions, which helps him/her to identify opportunities and to analyze and solve problems. Technical skills help systems analysts understand the potential and the limitations of information technology. The systems analyst must be able to work with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Management skills help systems analysts manage projects, resources, risk, and change. Interpersonal skills help systems analysts work with end users as well as with analysts, programmers, and other systems professionals.
Because they must write user requests into technical specifications, the systems analysts are the liaisons between vendors and the IT professionals of the organization they represent they may be responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation time-lines. They may also be responsible for feasibility studies of a computer system before making recommendations to senior management.
Basically, a systems analyst performs the following tasks:
* Interact with the customers to know their requirements
* Interact with designers to convey the possible interface of the software
* Interact / guide the coders/developers to keep track of system development
* Perform system testing with sample/live data with the help of testers
* Implement the new system
* Prepare High quality Documentation

2. WEB DESIGNER
A web designer may or may not be a computer programmer, but most have at the least some programming skills. Many web designers are also a web programmer, which means they not only are the architect of how a page will appear on the Internet but also implement their own designs through programming. They can thus be called part artist/writer and part computer expert.
One of the most important tasks of the web designer is the creative design of web pages, usually by working with a client who articulates certain needs or functions that the web page must fulfill. Designers tend to be excellent in working with graphics software, like Photoshop®️, and many are also very good with programs like Java®️, which can animate graphics. They frequently have experience working with a variety of media programs to add sound or film clips to web pages. Overall, the goal is to create pages with a specific design, a uniform graphic set, and eye grabbing details. Depending upon the needs of the client, a web designer may also write content for pages, though sometimes they merely edit and program content that clients provide.
There can be a great difference to no difference between a web designer and a web programmer. Programmers may only implement designs by programming in HTML, XTML, and various other Internet languages. They may set up special functions like shopping cart software, and they may be responsible for maintenance of existing web pages and introduction of new data. A web designer, especially one with lots of programming talent may also do this. In fact many designers offer both design and programming services. At other times, designers are the graphic specialists, integrating the client’s requirements into artistically rendered pages that are easy to use for visitors.

3. DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database. Additional role requirements are likely to include planning, development and troubleshooting.
The database approach incorporates the following principles:
• data remains consistent across the database;
• data is clearly defined;
• users access data concurrently, in a form that suits their needs;
• There is provision for data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).
Database administrator (DBA) roles are increasingly identified by the databases and processes they administer and the capabilities of the database management system (DBMS) in use.

SOURCE: http://www.prospects.ac.uk/p/types_of_job/it_consultant_job_description.jsp

5. COMPUTER SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Computer software engineers apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. The tasks performed by these workers evolve quickly, reflecting new areas of specialization or changes in technology, as well as the preferences and practices of employers. (A separate section on computer hardware engineers appears in the engineers section of the Handbook.)
Software engineers can be involved in the design and development of many types of software, including computer games, word processing and business applications, operating systems and network distribution, and compilers, which convert programs to machine language for execution on a computer.
Computer software engineers begin by analyzing users’ needs, and then design, test, and develop software to meet those needs. During this process they create the detailed sets of instructions, called algorithms that tell the computer what to do. They also may be responsible for converting these instructions into a computer language, a process called programming or coding, but this usually is the responsibility of computer programmers. (A separate section on computer programmers appears elsewhere in the Handbook.) Computer software engineers must be experts in operating systems and middleware to ensure that the underlying systems will work properly.
Computer applications software engineers analyze users’ needs and design, construct, and maintain general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. These workers use different programming languages, depending on the purpose of the program. The programming languages most often used are C, C++, and Java, with Fortran and COBOL used less commonly. Some software engineers develop both packaged systems and systems software
SOURCE: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos267.html

Among the five (5) online jobs which are IT-based, I like to become a System Analyst. Become a System Analyst is a tough job. They plan computer system and work together with different software and tools. Analyst also makes sure that the information should be processed quickly and without mistakes. They interact computer languages and so we people. Being a System Analyst, you should work as a team.
