| We all know that compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), also known as a compact fluorescent light or energy saving light (or less commonly as a compact fluorescent tube [CFT]) are designed to replace present incandescent lamp.
Some studies show that CFLs use less power to supply the same amount of light as an incandescent lamp, they decrease energy consumption and the environmental effects of electric power generation. Where electricity is largely produced from burning fossil fuels, the savings reduces emission of greenhouse gases and other pollutants.
CFL also uses less mercury compared to ordinary bulbs and exposure to mercury or its compounds may cause mercury poisoning (also known as hydrargaria or mercurialism).
This research aims to tackle the pros and cons if the CFL technology will be deployed in every household in the philippines specifically Davao. The result of this research may be used as a basis if ever the davao city government wants to implement that every household in the city should use CFLs. It will also tackle the energy that will be conserved(if there is any) and the effects of its usage to the environment.

I'm quite sure you are familiar with ESLs. These are the bulbs that you see that are shaped into a "U". Hence, they are called 2U, 3U, or 4U depending on the number of Us there are. ^_^

| Like CFL, if we would use other devices which conserves energy then it will be very helpful to the society..

| HI,
he briefing will be conducted to ensure that CDM rules will be followed not only during CFL distribution but also during installation of CFLs, storage and proper disposal of IBs. The briefing, which targets EC and DU personnel who will handle the actual distribution of CFLs, will provide step-by-step procedures on how to implement, record and monitor the CFL distribution activities. CDM rules and its implications to the CFL distribution procedures, such as the following, will also be explained:
